Danish multi-asset service provider Saxo Bank has recruited Jeff Zorek to the newly created role of chief operating officer (COO) of global sales.

Zorek will focus on aligning the bank’s business model to the changing trading landscape and enable institutions and private investors navigate through this period of change.

He will be based in London and will report to the bank’s global sales head Matteo Cassina.

"Jeff’s appointment is a significant step in our journey towards becoming a key financial markets facilitator for clients looking to adapt their business models to the new trading environment through access to liquidity, product innovation and scale," Cassina stated.

Zorek, who has more than 30 years of experience in financial services sector, most recently worked as the global co-head of prime brokerage at Nomura International.

Previously, he also served at Goldman Sachs and at Lehman Brothers.
