Santander Asset Management UK has expanded its global European fixed income team by hiring Divya Manek as new fund manager.

Based in London, Manek will report to Adam Cordery, the group’s global head of European fixed income.

In her new role, Manek will focus on European bond strategies and will work primarily on Santander’s three euro credit funds including Euro Corporate Short Term, Euro Corporate and Renta Fija Privada.

Manek joined Santander from Schroders, where she had worked since 2007 working on Schroders’ flagship EUR/GBP mutual funds and managing segregated mandates.

Adam Cordery, global head of European fixed income at Santander, said: "She is a strong addition to the recently created European fixed income team and I look forward to working with her."
