Sanditon Asset Management has hired former Schroders manager Julie Dean, who will join the company in early 2015.

Dean joined Schroders after its acquisition of Cazenove Capital in March 2013, and departed from the company in September this year.

In Schroders, Dean managed the £2.2bn Schroders UK Opportunities fund, which is now managed by Matt Hudson.

In her new role, Dean will be responsible for running UK equity portfolios.
