Salamanca Group, a London-based merchant banking and operational risk management firm, has appointed Martin Devenish as group head of strategy.
Additionally, Devenish will also serve as the firm’s main board director.

In his new role, Devenish will shape Salamanca Group’s business strategy and develop new opportunities. He will also work alongside a senior team to focus on carving out the distinctive space within which the Group sits and evolving its future direction.
Prior to joining Salamanca, Devenish has held several senior roles in equity capital markets at Goldman Sachs for over 20 years, where he led a range of strategic initiatives as partner and most recently as an advisory director.

Salamanca Group, with offices in 28 countries, has opened offices in Houston, US and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in the past 12 months, with a new office in South Africa to open shortly.
