Russell Investments has strengthened its multi-asset team with the appointment of Mirko Cardinale to the newly-created role as asset allocation head for EMEA region.
Prior to joining Russell, Cardinale served as head of strategic asset allocation for four years at Aviva Investors.

Previously, he worked at Watson Wyatt as senior investment consultant and also held roles at The Financial Times, The World Bank and Caboto Holding SIM.

The appointment follows the recent hires of David Vickers as senior portfolio manager for multi-asset team last month, and Rob Hall, who returned to the company in October.
