Royal London Asset Management (RLAM) has named Phil Reid as new head of wholesale.

In his new role, Reid will be responsible for expanding the company’s wholesale business, develop current foot print, and also bolster advisory proposition.

Reid is joining RLAM from HSBC Global Asset Management, where he served as head of UK Wholesale.

He will report to RLAM’s head of distribution Rob Williams.

Williams said: "He brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm that will help spearhead our growth ambitions in the wholesale market, with a particular focus on the UK advisory sector."

Prior to HSBC, Reid served as sales director at Close Asset Management and, also held financial sales roles at the National Bank of Canada and RJ Temple.
