British wealth manager Rowan Dartington has hired Alex Philipson from Quilter Cheviot as investment manager in its London office.

Philipson will be responsible for overseeing private client assets and will report to the company’s head of wealth, Paul Field.

A chartered MSCI, Philipson served for four years at Quilter Cheviot. Prior to that, he spent 13 years at Williams de Broe.

In addition, he also serves as a non-executive director of Eco-Positive, a London based renewable energy project finance and development firm.

Commenting on the appointment, Rowan Dartington executive chairman Graham Coxell said: "We are very pleased to see Alex joining us this year and are confident that he will help the business continue to grow and achieve its ambitions.
