He will assume the new role on 1 July 2016, and will report directly to RLAM head of fixed interest Jonathan Platt.

"As the fixed income landscape evolves, we continue to develop a number of high quality, bespoke LDI solutions to meet the challenges faced by our clients. Hiring Nick enables us to build out our capability in this space and I look forward to welcoming him to RLAM. LDI strategies are one of a number of developments which we will be announcing this year, as we look to provide a broader range of fixed income solutions for our clients," Platt said.

Woodward most recently served at F&C Asset Management, working as the firm’s senior member of the LDI team.

His previous roles also include head of modelling at KPMG and pensions adviser at Deutsche Bank and Aon Hewitt.
