RIT Capital Partners, a UK-based investment firm, has agreed to buy GVO Investment Management (GVOIM), a specialist fund manager, from Swiss firm Hansa Aktiengesellschaft.
The acquisition is subject to regulatory approval. The financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

GVOIM currently manages the GVO UK Focus Fund, an Irish listed open-ended investment company, and Strategic Equity Capital, a London-listed investment trust.
Subject to regulatory approval of the transaction, RIT will acquire Hansa’s stake in Strategic Equity Capital and also gain ownership of the GVO UK Focus fund.
GVO was acquired by Hansa from private equity group SVG Capital.
