Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) has appointed Peter Flavel as CEO of private banking, responsible for Coutts & Co and Adam & Company.
Flavel is joining RBS from JPMorgan, where he held the position of chief executive of the Private Wealth Management business in Asia. He will be relocating to London from Singapore to take on the new role.

Prior to working at JPMorgan, he led Standard Chartered’s Private Banking business.
Flavel said: "I am thrilled to be appointed chief executive of Private Banking and look forward to the challenge of leading a business which has a strong heritage yet is modern and understands the needs of clients."
Coutts’ current CEO Michael Morley will step from the position by the end of May 2016, RBS said in a press statement.
