RBS International has appointed Peter Brown as its new head of funds to drive expansion in the alternative funds sector.
In the new role, he will lead a team supporting over 1,000 fund managers and fund administrator clients in the UK, Jersey and Guernsey.

He will currently focus on the firm’s Luxembourg branch that recently secured a banking licence and is anticipated to be operational by March 2017.
RBS International CEO Andrew McLaughlin said: "There is an increasing demand for specialist banking services to support the international alternative funds industry."
Brown most recently was responsible for spearheading the RBS Financial Institutions Group in the UK that includes the RBS funds banking business in London. Prior to that, he was one of the founding members of the RBS mid-market leveraged finance unit.
Overall, Brown has an experience of over 25 years in corporate as well as institutional banking.
