Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) has appointed Joachim von Schorlemer as hub head for the Germany, Austria and Switzerland region, and as country head for Germany and Austria, effective 15 September 2013.
Joachim will be replacing Ingrid Hengster, who will become board member at German state bank KfW in April 2014.

Schorlemer and Hengster will work closely in the coming weeks to ensure a smooth transition and hand-over of responsibilities.
Ingrid Hengster has led the franchise in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland for the last eight years, where the bank has delivered stand-out solutions for its clients, while rebuilding and strengthening its foundations.
Schorlemer has joined RBS from BNP Paribas, where he worked as CEO for Germany with direct responsibility for the business with all client segments in Germany. Prior to this, he has worked for Credit Suisse and Deutsche Bank.
