RBC Wealth Management, part of Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), has appointed Daniel Ellis as head of investments in the British Isles, starting from 1 October 2013.
In her new role, Ellis will be based in London and will report to Stuart Rutledge, the firm’s chief executive for British Isles and the Caribbean.

Ellis will be responsible for leading the British Isles investments team. He will also join the British Isles and Caribbean operating committee of RBC Wealth Management.
He will also oversee the implementation and delivery of wealth management investment solutions, working in partnership with the British Isles-based distribution and trust teams.
Prior to joining RBC Wealth Management, Ellis has worked at HSBC as head of the private bank investment group, UK and Channel Islands, managing £12 billion of client assets across UK and international booking centres.
Ellis also held a number of senior positions at HSBC, including head of structured products in Geneva. Prior to joining HSBC in 2001, he spent three years in Jersey working for Fleming and Lloyds TSB.
