RBC Wealth Management has named David Foster as fiduciary services head of RBC Wealth Management – International, which is the group’s Channel Islands-based fiduciary unit.

Foster presently serves as co-head of RBC Wealth Management’s Caribbean arm. He is based in Cayman, where he manages trusts, investments as well as private client services in the region since 2013, reports International Adviser.

In 2012, he joined in the role of a managing director at RBC Wealth Management, and was designated as co-head of the Caribbean business in 2013.

After a foray into the financial services sector in 1979, Foster first served in commercial banking for over a decade, and later moved to private banking with Coutts.

He moved to Cayman after being designated as head of private banking of the Caribbean operations of Coutts in 2007.

In his new capacity, subject to regulatory approval, Foster will be based in Jersey. He will continue to report to RBC Wealth Management – International CEO Stuart Rutledge in the new role.
