RBC has named Doug Guzman as new group head wealth management and insurance, effective 1 November 2015.
Guzman will replace George Lewis, who will continue to serve as a senior portfolio manager in global asset management at RBC.

In his new role, Guzman will oversee the strategy and performance of wealth management in Canada and internationally, including global asset management as well as RBC’s insurance business.
He will report to Dave McKay, president and CEO of RBC. Guzman is currently head of global investment banking of RBC Capital Markets.
Additionally, Guzman will become a member of RBC’s group executive, which is responsible for setting the overall strategic direction of the bank and also take over the role of deputy chair, RBC Capital Markets, where he will act as the lead relationship manager with a number of key clients. ?
Lewis and Guzman will collaborate closely over the next few months to ensure a smooth transition.
