Whitley said: "It’s a pleasure to welcome Terry and Ryan and their staff to our independent channel. This notable team is committed to putting their clients’ interests first and providing excellent service, a commitment that parallels Raymond James’ client-first focus. We look forward to supporting them, their practice and their clients."

The team, known as Stonegate Financial (SGF), an independent firm, comes to Raymond James from LPL Financial, where they managed more than US$146 million in client assets and had annual fees and commissions of US$1.1 million.

Wiles, branch manager and president of SGF, said: "We spent more than a year looking at a number of firms, conducting exhaustive research and due diligence so we could see for ourselves if the technology and support met our expectations. Raymond James clearly provided the best fit by exceeding our expectations with a positive and conducive culture. They truly share our belief that clients come first."

Wiles, a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor, an Accredited Wealth Management Advisor and a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst, began his career in the investment industry in 1999. He was affiliated with Federated Securities Corp., Edward Jones and LPL Financial, prior to joining Raymond James. He received his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Oneonta, with a double major in economics and finance.
