Raymond James Financial has appointed financial advisor Kyle Gearhart from Bank of America’s Merrill Lynch unit that managed more than US$300 million in client assets.

Gearhart has joined Raymond James Cincinnati Ohio office.

Merrill Lynch said that Gearhart previously managed more than US$300 million in client assets and brought more than US$2.2 million in annual fees and commissions.

Gearhart, who joined Merrill Lynch in 1994, has served as an advisor at the firm for 19 years.

Prior to this, he worked at PNC Bank and Central Trust, as an analyst.
