Raymond James has reported that financial advisors affiliated with its Investment Advisors Division (IAD) will be able to access a wide range of attractively priced alternative investments for their clients, effective 1 September 2013.
Bill Van Law, president of Raymond James IAD, said: "I am pleased to inform our registered investment advisors they will now have access to the Raymond James Alternative Investment Group (AIG). The AIG team of 22 experienced professionals carefully review and select what they believe are high-quality, nontraditional investments to serve the more extensive financial needs of higher-net-worth clients.

"We have been enhancing our RIA platform over the last several months to develop a truly unique value proposition for RIAs – one that provides complete freedom and control with the resources we can provide as a full-service firm. This is one more demonstration of the firm’s significant commitment to growing this division and attracting high-quality RIAs," Law added.
Earlier this year, the firm announced more competitive pricing for equity and ETF trades, access to educational and practice management resources, and most recently the appointment of four regional directors as part of an expanded management team.
Under the new alternative investments program, registered investment advisors will be able to fully leverage the investments and resources available through the Raymond James AIG, which was established in 2001.
