Rathbone Investment Management has expanded its Winchester team with the hire of Edward James-Moore from HSBC Global Asset Management.

Moore joins Rathbone as an investment director and will report into Tim Bolton Carter, regional director for the South West.

In his new role, James-Moore will be responsible for managing a range of private client and charity portfolios.

Moore will join Rathbone 13-strong Winchester-based team, which manages over £1 billion in assets.

Moore has joined the firm from HSBC Global Asset Management, where he headed up the Midland region and managed over £210m in discretionary funds for individual clients, pensions, charities and trusts. Prior to HSBC, he has spent nine-years at WH Ireland.
