British wealth manager Rathbone Brothers’ funds under management (FuM) stood £28.9bn at the end of first quarter, a surge of 26.8% compared to £22.8bn in the year ago period.
For the quarter ended 31 March 2015, net operating income was £59.3m, versus £55.7m in the first quarter of 2014.

Underlying net operating income increased 19.1% to £59.3m from £49.8m in the year ago period.
Rathbones chairman Mark Nicholls said: "With a backdrop of reasonably favourable investment markets our total funds under management reached £28.9 billion at the end of the first quarter, up 6.3% from 31 December 2014.
"We continue to make good progress on the strategic initiatives we outlined last year, and remain positive in our outlook as we continue to invest and consider future growth opportunities in our sector."
