British wealth manager Rathbone Brothers has named Jennifer Mathias as its new group finance director, effective from 1 April 2019.

Mathias will replace Rathbone Investment Management managing director Paul Stockton. Once Mathias assumes the role of group finance director, Stockton will resume the responsibility of executive director on a full time basis.

Along with the responsibility of group finance director, Rathbone Brothers will also appoint Mathias as an executive director to the company board and as a member of the group executive committee.

Accordingly, the number of executive directors on the board will increase from two to three.

In July, Rathbone Brothers reported a 64% increase in pre-tax profit to £43.7m for the first half of 2018 on a year-on-year basis.
