British wealth manager Rathbone Brothers has hired Sarah Gentleman, former strategy head of internet bank Egg, as a non-executive director.
Gentleman will serve as a member of the audit, remuneration, risk and nomination committees.

At Egg, Gentleman served as business development and strategy head for six years. Prior to this, she worked with Sanford C Bernstein & Co., the institutional research and trading arm of Alliance Bernstein.
Gentleman, who began her career at McKinsey and Company, has previously held several roles in the telecoms and digital sectors, most recently as CFO of the LCR Telecom Group.
Rathbone Brothers chairman Mark Nicholls said: "She will bring a wide experience in the financial services, telecoms and digital areas and add a different perspective. Her skills will be of great value to Rathbones in the years ahead."
