British investment management firm Quilter Cheviot has appointed Neil MacPherson as an investment director for Edinburgh office.

MacPherson, who has over 30 years of experience in financial services, has joined Quilter Cheviot from Turcan Connell where he was a senior investment associate.

MacPherson started his career at Edinburgh Investment Trust as a fund manager, before moving on to Standard Life where he worked on overseas markets.

Latter, he joined Life Association of Scotland Investment Management, where he was responsible for overseas investment.

Commenting on the appointment, Quilter Cheviot executive director and head of the Edinburgh office Alan Aitchison, said "I am delighted to have Neil join us in Edinburgh. He has a huge amount of experience and is well known throughout the city as an investment professional of the highest order.
