Hong kong-based Private Wealth Management Association (PWMA) has appointed Joanne Leung as its new managing director.

Leung, who was with Deutsche Bank as the COO for private wealth management for North Asia for six years, replaced James Hong.

Prior to Deutsche Bank, she also worked with UBS and Citibank in Hong Kong and Singapore in various senior management positions, and also with Hong Kong Stock Exchange and Wardley.

Chairman of the executive committee of the PWMA and chief executive of UBS Hong Kong, Allen Lo said: "Joanne has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. With her strong background in private wealth management, Joanne will help us achieve our objectives in facilitating and encouraging the growth and development of the industry in Hong Kong."
