Prudential Fixed Income has named Arvinder Chowdhary a principal and portfolio manager for its European Leveraged Finance team.
Chowdhary, whose appointment is effective immediately, will focus on European high yield portfolios, reporting to Jonathan Butler, managing director and head of European Leveraged Finance.

"Arvinder’s extensive experience in European credit, along with his familiarity with large global asset management organizations, broadens the expertise we offer clients as we expand our global credit business," said James Sullivan, head of Prudential Fixed Income.
The company’s global leveraged finance desk manages U.S. and European high yield and bank loan debt, with team members based in Newark, N.J., and London.
Chowdhary most recently served as a research analyst/portfolio manager at Western Asset Management in London working within European high yield. He was involved in managing the European high yield assets within the global high yield and global multi-strategy portfolios.
Before Western Asset Management, he was a director and head of European credit research for Citigroup Asset Management and worked in London and New York.
