Principal Global Investors has appointed Alan Glendon as the new director of UK fund distribution.
Glendon joins from Janus Capital, which recently merged with Henderson Global Investors. He worked as the UK sales director at Janus.

In the new role, he will be tasked with building the firm’s relationships with private banks, wealth managers, family offices and brokers in the UK, Ireland and the Channel Islands. He will report to global head of wealth advisory services Nick Lyster.
Glendon previously also served as head of UK discretionary sales at Premier Asset Management, as well as worked at F&C Asset Management and Investec.
“The UK, Ireland and Channel Islands is a key region for wealth management services and represents a critical market for our funds platform. We are seeing increasing interest in our funds from wealth managers in the UK and Ireland, and Alan will undoubtedly help us to strengthen our existing relationships in the wholesale space,” Lyster noted.
