Polar Capital, a UK-based investment management firm, has appointed Nick Davis to head up its new European income franchise.
Also, Polar Capital is planning to launch a new Pan European Income Fund in the final quarter of 2014.

The new franchise will bring the total number of teams at Polar Capital to 11.
Davis joined Polar Capital from Threadneedle, where he managed the Threadneedle European fund and Threadneedle pan-European equity dividend fund. Prior to this, he worked for Sanford Bernstein, Deloitte and Arthur Anderson.
Davis appointment comes as part of the firm’s strategy to expand the number of specialist investment teams.
