Point72 Asset Management, the family office formerly known as SAC Capital Advisors, has named Scott Braunstein as new money manager, effective October 2014.

In his new role, Braunstein will work along with Anna Yaeger at the firm’s stock-trading unit, EverPoint Asset Management, in New York.

Braunstein has joined Point72 from JPMorgan Asset Management, where he spent 12 years, most recently as co-portfolio manager of its Global Healthcare Fund with Anne Marden.

Braunstein, who is brother of JPMorgan’s vice chairman and former CEO Doug Braunstein, also covered healthcare stocks with a focus on biotechnology and pharmaceuticals at JPMorgan.

Prior to this, Braunstein worked at Deutsche Bank AG.
