On the significance of the awards, Nicholas Moody, Editor of PBI, said: "2012 was a bumper year of nominations for the Private Banker International Awards. We are starting to see more varied nominations from across the world of different business models. This illustrates the growth of the wealth management industry."

The award winners were announced and presented at the Awards Gala Dinner on Wednesday, 24th October 2012 at The Fullerton Hotel Singapore.

These tributes to the best-of-breed players aim, above all, to be fair and objective benchmarks for the global private banking and wealth management business.

The awards have been created to identify industry leaders and those individuals and organisations that are setting new standards.

Crucially, they identify the best practice institutions – those that have done the most in the past year to advance and strengthen wealth management as an industry.

A full write-up of the awards plus a wrap-up of the key takeaways from the 22nd PBI Wealth Summit will appear in November’s edition.
