OppenheimerFunds has named Mary Ann Picciotto as new chief compliance officer, effective from the first quarter of 2014.
Based in New York, Picciotto will report directly to Ari Gabinet, General Counsel.

In her new role, Picciotto will oversee all aspects of regulatory compliance for OFI’s five affiliated investment advisers as well as its three commodity pool operators and advisers, two transfer agents, broker-dealer, and state-chartered trust company, offering compliance services to more than 100 mutual funds and dozens of institutional accounts.

Prior to joining OppenheimerFunds, Picciotto served at Morgan Stanley Investment Management as global head of compliance & CCO for the Morgan Stanley funds.

Prior to this, she worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers on the Assurance and Business Advisory Services team in the Investment Management Services division.

Meantime, OppenheimerFunds’ current CCO, Mark Vandehey plans to depart after a transition period after 31 years with the firm alongside Picciotto.
