According to Oppenheimer Europe CEO Max Lami this new branch will enable the firm to build upon the reputation for high-touch service, expanding on what fixed income and equity teams have created in London.
Oppenheimer Europe managing director based in London Paul Tanner, established the Fixed Income Sales and Trading Desk in December of 2008.

Tanner has selected three individuals to staff the new branch: Simon Bakewell, as managing director of Institutional Fixed Income, joins Oppenheimer from Bridport & Co. (Jersey) Limited.
Two other professionals have joined Simon Bakewell, also from Bridport. Gary Drakes holds the designation of Chartered Market Technician (CMT). David Reid, who holds the UKSIP Investment Management Certificate (IMC).
