Openwork, a UK-based adviser network, has hired Christopher Rodrigues as its new chairman, replacing Kate Avery who left the firm at the end of 2013.
Rodrigues is currently chairman of consumer lending business International Personal Finance plc.

Prior to joining Openwork, Christopher has worked as president and chief executive of Visa International from 2004 to 2006 and as group chief executive of Bradford and Bingley (B&B) from 1996 through 2004. He also headed B&B’s IPO in 2000 and entry into the FTSE 100 index two years later.
Earlier to this, he also served as non-executive director of the FSA from 1997 to 2003 and has held several roles with Thomas Cook, American Express and Visa.
