Old Mutual Global Investors (OMGI) has teamed up with AMCS Group, a Florida-based third-party distribution firm, to enhance its US offshore and Latin American regions.
AMCS is led by its co-founders Chris Stapleton and Andres Munho, who have already worked with OMGI’s intermediary clients in the region for eight years.

The new agreement covers only the Single Strategy business of OMGI, which managed over $1.35bn in the region at the end of December 2017 and focuses on liquid alternatives and equities.
Under the new agreement, AMCS will focus on improving these capabilities to develop OMGI’s position in the market.
At the same time, the distribution firm will also work to position OMGI’s global fixed income offering in the US and Latin America.

AMCS also has offices in Boston, Massachusetts and Montevideo, Uruguay, along with three additional sales and client service staff. Plans are on to hire another sales staff in Miami prior to the end of the quarter.
