Thompson was most recently managing director of Intrinsic and had worked closely with Freeman on business strategy since 2012. He also served as distribution director at Intrinsic.

Additionally, Freeman will continue to lead the strategic development of Intrinsic as part of a broader role in which he will draw together all distribution activities across Old Mutual Wealth’s vertically integrated distribution businesses.

Freeman, who will be replacing Mary-Anne McIntyre in his new role as chief distribution officer, will also work closely with the business in 2016 to complete the acquisition of the Financial Adviser School from Sesame Bankhall Group.

McIntyre is stepping down from the firm to pursue other opportunities.
