Old Mutual Wealth has bolstered its presence in Asia with three senior hires in its offshore bond business Skandia International, and its asset management arm, Old Mutual Global Investors.

Steve Hickman will join the firm as global head of high net worth business. In his new role, Hickman will report to sales director for international, Victor France. He has joined Old Mutual from HSBC Hong Kong where he was head of distribution for high net worth business.

Xerxes Wong will join the OM commercial product team as head actuary from American International Assurance. In his new role, Wong will report to Gower Wisdom, head of protection, product and pricing.

Carol Wong joins the firm as head of distribution for Asia, with effect from November 2013. Wong has joined Old Mutual from BNP Investment Partners where she was head of distribution for Hong Kong, China and South East Asia.

In his new role, Carol Wong will be based in Hong Kong will report to Warren Tonkinson, Old Mutual head of distribution, global. He will be responsible for developing Old Mutual Global Investors’ Asian strategy and her core focus will be to expand Old Mutual Global Investors’ market share in key markets across Asia.
