Ogier, an offshore legal advice provider, has established a dispute resolution practice in Hong Kong to cater Asian clients.

The Hong Kong dispute resolution practice will work together with the wider dispute resolution team across British Virgin Islands (BVI), the Cayman Islands, Guernsey and Jersey.

The new team will be led by partner Ray Ng, who will move from the BVI to Hong Kong to take over his new role.

Ng has experience working with financial institutions and high net worth individuals in the region and specializes in offshore litigation.

Ogier said that the resolution service in Asia will advise on BVI, Cayman, Guernsey and Jersey law companies, board and shareholder disputes, corporate insolvency and winding up issues.

In addition, the team will also advise on the effect of decisions in the Hong Kong Matrimonial Division on Cayman and BVI trusts as well as investor and founder disputes.
