Ogier, an offshore law firm providing legal and fiduciary services, has appointed Charles Le Cornu as its new director.

Apart from this, the company has also named Simon King and Jon Barratt to the funds and real-estate teams respectively as director, as reported by thelawyer.com.

With 10 years’ experience in the offshore financial services industry specialising in investment fund accounting and administration, Le Cornu joined Ogier in 2006. He is specializing in private equity, venture capital and mezzanine funds.

Before joining Ogier, Le Cornu trained with KPMG and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Prior to joining with Ogier’s funds team, King was working with State Street, where he most recently served as head of client services (EMEA), having previously managed private equity administration teams in Jersey.

Earlier, he has also worked for M&G Real Estate where he was director of transaction management and director of property legal services.

Having 25 years of management experience, Barratt joins as a director to spearhead the real-estate team and to work as a director for various client firms.

He has also worked for seven years with HSBC corporate banking in Jersey with particular emphasis on offshore structured corporate real-estate clients.
