Mercer Island-based Northwest Asset Management has added investment industry veteran Carlos Obando’s investment advisory practice to its fold.
Obando said that the decision to move his investment advisory practice to Northwest Asset Management was one of fiduciary responsibility.

Before joining Northwest Asset Management, Obando was working with UBS Financial Services in Seattle, where he oversaw the allocation strategy for institutions and high-new-worth clients.
Prior to that, he served as a vice president of wealth management and a senior portfolio manager with Smith Barney.
"My clients want and need a financial advisor who can provide a full range of investment management services within a flexible open architecture platform; in addition to investment management, clients want help with their personal financial planning, retirement income, educational funding and estate planning," Obando added.
