Northern Trust has appointed Angelo Calvitto as the new head of its Australasia business, replacing Madeleine Senior who will now take on a leadership role in the firm’s London office.

Calvitto will assume the new role on 8 June 2018, with responsibility for offering asset servicing, asset management and capital markets solutions to sophisticated institutional and investment manager clients in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.

He will report to the firm’s head of Asia-Pacific William Mak in the new role.

Calvitto has an experience of around three decades in the financial services industry. He most recently served as the head of sales of Asia-Pacific institutional business at Northern Trust.

Before joining Northern Trust in 2008, he served as the head of sales and account management at ANZ Custodian Services. He previously also had a stint at State Street.
