Northern Trust has appointed Elisa Shevlin Rizzo as senior fiduciary officer and senior legal counsel.
Based in New York, Rizzo will provide fiduciary service, legal counsel and holistic advice to trust advisers, wealth advisers, advisory account managers and wealth strategists. She will report to president of Greater New York for wealth management, John Hoffman.

Rizzo joins Northern Trust from Fiduciary Trust Company International, where she served as managing director, trust counsel and director of estate administration.
Previously, she also worked at law firms Cummings & Lockwood as well as Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft.
