Woldt will re-locate from Chicago to Abu Dhabi, reporting to Penelope Biggs, head of the Institutional Investor Group, EMEA.
Locally, he will work closely with Michael Slater, head of the Abu Dhabi office, and Kais Abbas, head of investment business development, said the company.
Woldt, who has been with Northern Trust since 1983 and most recently as head of the US insurance client business, will work with Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) regional management in his new assignmnet.
Woldt will operate from Abu Dhabi office, reporting to Penelope Biggs, head of the Institutional Investor Group, EMEA.
