Northern Trust has promoted David Williams to the role of sales director for wealth management.

With 27 years of experience in the financial services industry, Williams has spent 15 years at Northern Trust. Most recently, Williams was managing director of a Chicago-based team of financial services professionals. Prior to joining Northern Trust, he held a variety of wealth management and commercial banking positions at First Midwest Bank, Firstar Bank and Lake Shore Bank.
Williams succeeds Brett Rees, who now leads Northern Trust’s Mid-Atlantic region from the Washington DC office. Williams reports to Schreuder, and will join her executive leadership team.
