Nikko Asset Management has named Udo von Werne as its new chief executive for the Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.
In his new role, Werne will be responsible for overseeing Nikko Asset Management’s business across this region and its continuing growth strategy.

Werne will report directly to Nikko Asset Management President and CEO, Takumi Shibata.
Werne, who has over 25 years of experience in the financial industry, joined Nikko from Pictet Asset Management, where he served as head of institutional clients for Continental Europe. He also worked with firms including Zurich Financial Services and UBS.
