Nikko Asset Management has named Stefanie Drews as global head of institutional marketing and proposition.

In her new role, Drews will be in charge for developing and managing the institutional proposition working closely with the firm’s investment, operational and distribution teams globally.

Additionally, she will also manage institutional product, marketing and cross border specialist groups in Nikko Asset Management’s locations around the world.

Drews will be moving to Tokyo later in this year to take over her new role.

Drews appointment comes as the firm continues to invest in its institutional platform and solutions business globally.

Drews has joined Nikko from Barclays, where she most recently served as global head of key clients and family offices at Barclays Wealth and Investment Management in London.

Prior to this, Drews worked as managing director in Morgan Stanley’s Private Wealth Management business, where she managed an investment management program for institutional clients as well as high-net-worth individuals.
