Murer has been the deputy COO of Julius Baer Hong Kong since 2009 and wad head of the business management units.

Before joining Julius Baer, Murer worked for GAM Switzerland as a private client manager.

Keller and Murer will be taking over from Ian Pollock, who held both positions. In his two years with the bank, Pollock contributed to the upgrade of Julius Baer Hong Kong to full branch status and to the set-up of the bank’s representative office in Shanghai, which is scheduled to open in December.

Acknowledging the contributions of Pollock, Meier said that Pollock worked with the bank during an important phase of its growth in Asia.
