British fund manager Neptune has teamed up with Raymond James Investment Services to launch a new discretionary fund management business.

Dubbed Equester Capital Management, the new venture will be a branch of Raymond James and will be headed by Matthew Butcher – who is head of client proposition.

Neptune deputy managing director Richard Green said that the fund manager was impressed by Raymond James’ operating model and the quality of the systems.

“We look forward to working closely with them as we develop the business,” he said.   

Neptune will deliver asset allocation and portfolio construction expertise, research access and resources.
