Neptune Investment Management has named Charlie Parker as new head of strategy, effective September 2014.

In his new role, Parker will be based within the firm’s investment team and will be responsible for spearheading Neptune’s strategic development.

Additionally, Parker will be closely involved across all of Neptune’s functions.

Parker will report to Neptune chief executive and fund manager Robin Geffen.

Parker has joined Neptune from Citywire Financial Publishers, where he served as director of asset management. Previously, he has held several commercial roles at the publisher since 2012. Prior to this, he worked at Incisive Media in 2006 as a senior reporter.

Geffen said: "We are in a rapidly moving marketplace and Charlie has a good understanding of the legislation and impact the RDR has had on our industry.
