Nautilus Group, a Jersey-based independent trust company, has opened an office in Mauritius as part of growth strategy.

The new entity, Nautilus Fiduciary Mauritius Limited, will expand the group’s team to 12, bringing the total number of staff it employs to 77.

Commenting on the launch, Nautilus Trust Company managing director Jason Cowleard said, the creation of Nautilus Fiduciary Mauritius Limited will give their clients access to a greater pool of experts.

"We are focused on delivering clients an exceptional service through a robust and dynamic regulatory framework, with access to multiple jurisdictions, and this move will help us to continue doing this. Our clients are increasingly globally mobile and by offering the same Nautilus service in multiple jurisdictions, we are best placed to meet their needs."
