Mukesh D. Ambani is all set to join Bank of America (BofA) Global Advisory Council in May 2013, and has decided not to seek another term on the company’s board of directors at its 2013 annual meeting of stockholders.
Ambani is currently the chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries Limited, and at Bank of America Global Advisory Council, he will join 13 other internationally recognised business, academic and public policy leaders who serve on the Global Advisory Council.

The council is chaired by BofA chief executive officer Brian Moynihan, and is a non-fiduciary body that shares expertise and insights on the bank’s global engagement.

Since March 2011, Ambani has served on the BofA board of directors and became a director prior to the establishment of the Global Advisory Council.
