Morningstar Korea, a subsidiary of Morningstar Inc, has named Jung-Tae Chae as the new chief executive officer, replacing Jason Yoon.
In his new role, Chae will manage Morningstar’s investment consulting and portfolio management services for Morningstar Investment Management clients in Korea, in addition to leading local thought leadership and operations for Morningstar’s information products business.

Chae will also be instrumental in the continuous expansion of the firm’s investment and data offerings to investors across Asia.
He joined Morningstar from Standard & Poor’s in Seoul, South Korea, where he served as a managing director and country manager. Prior to this, he worked as a relationship and business development manager for Fleet National Bank and Barclays Bank in Seoul.
